This past summer, the student committee of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology surveyed individuals recently on the job market. The purpose of the survey was to promote transparency around the experience of being on the academic job market.
In total, 308 individuals participated in this survey. Some of the questions addressed by this technical report include:
- What qualities matter for different types of positions?
- What are the most useful resources that people use to find out about academic positions?
- What does a start-up package look like and what are some good negotiation tips?
